Brooklyn Creative Team:

Sam Zimman
Director & Editor

Erin Leigh
Exec. Producer & Art Director

Sam (Director of Photography) and Erin (AD/AC) have been hard at work with creator Vinny Lopez and star Jim Noonan on Season Three of the critically-acclaimed web series, Two Jasperjohns. TJJs concerns two of nine gay brothers from Ohio, residing in Brooklyn. Forget who you’re dating, life is just tough when you’re a psycho/sociopath! This season will guest star Tim Harrington, lead singer of Les Savy Fav and NYC artist Guy Richards Smit. Additional outrageous cameos by other famous types for people in the know.

Erin muddied up some kids and transformed a guy into Steven Spielberg (hair + beard + aging).

The NFL Ultimate Fan Experience - Special FX makeup: Erin Leigh

Erin did FX makeup ridiculousness for a UCB NFL spoof. Our victim won’t let a major brain injury get in the way of supporting his team in the playoffs, fo’pshaw! (note: iPhone version crap.0 photos)

The Okay List - a list couples may make on whom they’d open their relationship for (re: threesome). In this series, Sarah and Heather will open their hearts and bedrooms for certain historical females. In this episode, Joan of Arc is suspicious of this thing you call your ‘Etsy’

Sam and Erin have been hard at work on “Threesomes (working title),” a new webisode series from Smart Blouse Productions, brain-(and other parts) child by Magnet Theater funny lady, Sarah Pappalardo and the equally-hilarious anatomy enthusiast Heather Pieske. Sam has been tag-teaming with Collin Kornfeind at handling the role of DP, gaffer/grip and running cameras. Erin has been doing makeup, AD, craft services, transportation, AC, cast assistance and beer selection. Sam is also supervising post. This web-series is gonna be awesome!

Sam has been shooting a promotional trailer for an indie action flick set in Brooklyn with the help of some awesome new equipment and old fashioned ingenuity.  Check out some behind-the-scenes shots of Sam and his new bike rig.

The Beeb 6 Radio

We got a mention on the Lauren Laverne Morning Show!

LAUREN – There’s quite a lot of back-and-forth between you and the audience, as well, because they can take part in your visual quilt project. So, they can actually be part of the show. Tell us about that for people who don’t know about it already.

SHARON – My friend, Sam Zimman has been helping us do visuals for the show…it’s images that show throughout our whole entire set when we actually have the equipment for it.  It’s all things that we think are beautiful or that we care about…and can be anywhere from like 10 to 30 seconds or something? We put it on in time…so that it’s more like an interpretation of our songs and everything that we think are beautiful. [Our fans] can submit it to us and we re-edit it for each tour…

6 Music: Lauren Laverne. BBC 6 Radio. 9 July 2012. Transcript: 2:37:42 - 2:39:00

Special thanks to Jon Procter, artist extraordinaire and all-around British person for mentioning it to us yanks!

Dive Studios presents a just-for-fun-unofficial music video for “Put Me to Sleep,” a single from Porcelain Raft’s debut full-length, Strange Weekend, released on Secretly Canadian earlier this year. The video is composed of superimposed shots of fire Poi, a Polynesian performance art. Dancers Crystal Thiele and Cat Bogin take turns spinning flaming wicks and the sensory effects of sight and sound are hypnotizing. Enjoy!
